There is an awakening of an ancient way of being that gets fed with this combination of gifts. It is a way in which Nature and humans communicate. Can we be still enough to listen?

The power of transformation in this season is fueled by gratitude and praise for all we have received. It isn't praise for the new but rather for the harvest, the completion of things, things ending and transforming. Why is this so powerful? ...

Is One Better Than Another? Every day they come t Is One Better Than Another?
Every day they come
the hummingbirds and butterflies
I watch them drink nectar from the crimson flowers.
As I drink my morning tea.

The sage that holds the flowers is 5 feet tall and equally as wide.
I try to remember when it was planted, how little it was, how delicate it seemed.
The leaves of the sage make a good tea for nervous bellies and busy minds
it is good medicine to have in this world and I am grateful to have it near.

I pick some leaves.
What makes me choose only the perfect ones?
Why am I dismissive of the older leaves with marks of aging?
Why am I dismissive of the ones with holes?
They all carry medicine.

Some leaves have grown big yet show no markings
while others are ready to turn color, to die, and let go, when still so small.
Why is one better than another?
Each leaf has its own unique life.
And the plant?
It holds them all, gathering them into a collective.
How beautiful it is to have awareness of our smallness,
our unique growth pattern,
and know that we all contribute.
That we are part of something bigger.
That we are all medicine.

The blessing of starting anew 💞it is so easy to The blessing of starting anew 💞it is so easy to pass it by. The first breath upon waking, the first light that comes to our eyes. Thousands of new beginnings and thousands of small endings come to us each day. How is life transformed when we pause and bring gratitude to those moments? May we be grateful for the gifts we are given. May we mark the moments, days, seasons, years with gratitude.

I often sit with the doors to the garden open, but I often sit with the doors to the garden open, but don’t often have the wind playing my Koshi bells. Such sweet magic. 💫
I start my day with gratitude, praise, tea, medita I start my day with gratitude, praise, tea, meditation, and wondering. This is what bubbled up this morning:
What do I need to unlearn for growth to happen?

Being a student of Conscious Living And Conscious Dying requires us to let go of what we ‘think’ we know.
Sitting in the field of uncertainty, letting go of control, being with our discomfort, all of it might be necessary.
For it is at the edges that growth happens. 💫
